✨ Yesterday’s Networking Event Was Eye-Opening! ✨
So, I attended a networking event representing my employer, but let’s be real—I’m always networking for me too. Anyone who knows me understands I’m all about making connections. 🤝
At the event, I found myself sitting at the table with reps from three major schools. No trade schools were supposed to be there, but I made an impression and secured a spot. (Look at God working!) 🙌
Funny thing is, despite my age and experience, people still tend to judge based on appearances. I came straight from work, wearing scrubs, while others were dressed in full business attire. I cleared it with the organizer, but I still felt a bit out of place—at first. The reps gathered, laughing and talking among themselves, but once I spoke, the dynamic shifted. I own a room when I speak, and the atmosphere changed from dismissal to interest. 👀
It’s moments like these that make me reflect: the way we treat others shapes our world, just as Michael Jackson sang, “It’s the man in the mirror.” I knew I was different even as a kid. When family doesn’t fully accept you, it makes it easier to embrace being an outsider. But remember this: God LOVES Jacqueline, and that’s all that matters. ❤️
Just wanted to share—be mindful of how you treat people. You never know who might surprise you! ✨
