Who Calls Christ Protection Services
Yesterday in church the choir sang a song that would not leave me. It sat on my heart all day and followed me into my sleep. When something follows you like that, it is not noise, it is a message. So this morning I came to my safe space to release it.
We live in a world where if a child is abused or neglected we call CPS. Some states have different names for it, but the purpose is the same. Intervention. Protection. A shield for the vulnerable. A place to investigate what is broken so healing can begin.
But what happens when the child is not a child at all. What happens when it is a believer. What happens when it is you.
What happens when we as Christians abuse God through disobedience or neglect. When we run away from His instructions. When we mistreat His blessings. When we forget His voice until we need something. And what happens when the world abuses us. When life hits too hard. When people betray. When situations mistreat our peace and leave us wounded in ways we never asked for.
Who calls Christ Protection Services then.
Who steps in when your spirit is bruised. Who reports the emotional neglect. Who documents the moments when you stayed up crying even though you were trying to trust God. Who files the case for the days you felt abandoned, empty, and used. Who advocates for you when you are too tired to advocate for yourself.
The beautiful thing is that God does not wait for a hotline. Heaven does not need a reporter. The Father does not need a form filled out to step in. He is both the witness and the protector. He sees. He hears. He responds. Even when you think He is silent.
God has a way of pulling you into His arms before you even know you need saving. He protects you even from yourself. He provides correction, not to punish, but to restore. He steps between you and the enemy. He comforts. He covers. He carries.
If there were such a thing as Christ Protection Services it would be simple. Open twenty four seven. No judgement. No shame. No delay. Just love that steps in immediately. Love that documents every tear. Love that follows up. Love that creates a safety plan for your soul.
Maybe the real message is this. God already built it. It is His presence. His word. His grace. His mercy. His patience. His arms.
So if you feel bruised today. If life has hit harder than you expected. If you are healing from something you never should have gone through. Call on Him. Let Him step in as the protector of your heart.
I pray all be well.
Be safe.
And remember to breathe.
