Okay, so yesterday was… weird. 😂

Not bad weird.

Actually, it was REALLY good.

And that’s what scared me.

Have you ever had one of those days where one good thing happens…and then another…and then ANOTHER?

And instead of just celebrating, your brain starts looking around like:

“Okayyyyy… what’s going on?” 👀😂

That was me yesterday.

Things I had been waiting on started falling into place.

Things I had worked hard for finally came through.

Doors opened.

Good news showed up.

Things started making sense.

And at some point I realized:

Wait a minute… everything is actually working out for me.

And y’all…

THAT SCARED ME.

Isn’t that crazy?

We talk so much about surviving difficult seasons that nobody really talks about what it feels like when you finally enter a season where things start WORKING.

When you’ve spent enough time fighting, waiting, rebuilding, being disappointed, hearing “not yet,” figuring things out, and trying again…

peace can feel suspicious. 😂

Good news can make you nervous.

You can find yourself waiting for the other shoe to drop instead of enjoying the shoes you already have on.

And yesterday I caught myself doing exactly that.

💭 WHY CAN RECEIVING FEEL SCARIER THAN CHASING?

I’ve prayed for things.

Worked for things.

Prepared for things.

Stayed up late trying to figure things out.

Started over.

Changed directions.

Heard no.

Tried again.

So why, when some of those things finally begin happening, does part of me want to say:

“Hold on… this is too much good news at once.” 😂

Maybe because struggle became familiar.

And familiar doesn’t necessarily mean healthy or good.

It just means we know how to function there.

I know how to fight.

I know how to hustle.

I know how to figure it out.

I know how to survive.

But maybe this next season is asking me to learn something different:

HOW TO RECEIVE.

WHEW. 👀

✨ MAYBE I DON’T HAVE TO BE AFRAID OF THINGS GOING RIGHT

Maybe every blessing doesn’t need an investigation. 😂

Maybe I don’t have to immediately ask:

“Okay, but what’s going to go wrong?”

Maybe I can say:

“Thank You.”

Maybe I can celebrate.

Maybe I can breathe.

Maybe I can acknowledge the work I put in.

Maybe I can recognize that some of what is happening today is connected to seeds I planted when it looked like NOTHING was happening.

That’s important.

Because sometimes we call something “sudden” that actually took years to arrive.

People see the door open.

They don’t see how many doors you knocked on first.

They see the congratulations.

They don’t see the disappointment.

They see the result.

They don’t see the preparation.

🌱 AND THEN I LOOKED AT TODAY’S CARD…

“What if everything is always working out for me?”

Okay, card.

I HEAR YOU. 😂😂😂

Because yesterday gave that question an entirely different meaning.

Maybe everything working out for me doesn’t mean I’ll never experience another difficult day.

It doesn’t mean everything I want will happen.

And it certainly doesn’t mean life suddenly becomes perfect.

It means I can stop treating every good season like it’s about to expire.

❤️ TODAY’S MEDXPRESSIONZ CHALLENGE

This one is for anybody who has trouble receiving good things without immediately worrying about losing them.

When something good happens today:

Don’t minimize it.

Don’t immediately search for what’s wrong.

Don’t talk yourself out of being excited.

Don’t create tomorrow’s problem while standing inside today’s blessing.

Just say:

“I RECEIVE IT.”

That’s today’s challenge.

Something good happened?

I receive it.

Somebody compliments you?

Thank you. I receive it.

An opportunity opens?

I receive it.

You finally see movement in something you’ve been working toward?

I receive it.

And if your mind whispers, “Yeah, but what if something goes wrong?”

Ask it another question:

“BUT WHAT IF SOMETHING GOES RIGHT?” ✨

Now THAT’S a What If.

💬 YOUR TURN

Have you ever gotten so used to struggling that when things finally started going right, it actually made you nervous?

Tell me I’m not by myself. 😂

Finish this sentence:

“I’m learning that it’s safe for me to __________.”

Mine?

I’m learning that it’s safe for me to receive the things I’ve worked and prayed for.

No overthinking.

No waiting for disaster.

No apologizing for the blessing.

Just gratitude.

Because sometimes the breakthrough isn’t getting what you’ve been waiting for.

Sometimes the breakthrough is finally allowing yourself to ENJOY IT when it arrives.

So today I’m sitting with this:

✨ WHAT IF EVERYTHING REALLY IS WORKING OUT FOR ME?

Yesterday scared me a little.

But today?

I’m going to stop being scared of good things happening to me.

I’m going to say thank you.

I’m going to keep doing the work.

And I’m going to let myself enjoy the moment.

Because maybe I don’t always need to brace myself for impact.

Maybe sometimes…I can brace myself for BLESSINGS. 🙌🏽✨

Now THAT sounds like MedXpressionz. 💋
